Meet Duncan!
Duncan is a wonderful dog who has been at Spindletop for a long while. He is a staff favorite and longs for a family to call his own. He is very smart and eager to please

GrouchoMarkie and Bruce came to Spindletop after they ended up in a kill shelter. The pair were so bonded that Leah decided Bruce had to go with his Groucho. Both dogs really need to be adopted together and are healthy young adults just waiting for that special home. Do you have the love and room for two?

String and his brother Bean came to Spindletop as pups years ago. Bean was adopted but poor string is still here. Are you the one he's been waiting for?

Still Cleaning after Hurricaine Ike

We are still working as best we can to clean up and repair the damge left in Ike's wake. We are currently going 'round with Fema and the Insrance companies over who covers what damage. With Leah still recovering from her broken arm and fractured hip, we are still short staffed and have had to hire more day workers at a greater expense than our operating budget has at this point. We can still use Wal-Mart, Lowe's or Home Depot gift cards. They can be sent to:
