Hi!  I am new around here but I have already seen a LOT!  Also my mom and the other animals have told me all about my new home and what made it what it is today.  So, I will be your tour guide!  : )

The nice folks here at Spindletop have been rescuing dogs that are called American Pit Bull Terriers and American Staffordshire Terriers for a long time.  Not many people like them, I don't know why, they are very pretty and smart dogs.  They are always wagging their tails and playing with toys.  My human mom says they are the most lovable and intelligent breed of dog that she knows.  She says they are all looking for homes with a families that deserve them.  Some of the dogs that come here need help with the doggie doctor or have been abused, she makes them feel better and gives them hope to find a new family that will take care of them and love them forever.

This is Harold, he hitched a ride here in someone's car.  He said he snuck in their car when they were not looking and when he got here he thought he was arrived in kitty heaven.  He said he never thought he would be a farm cat when he grew up, but he loves it here!  You have to look closely, he is resting in his favorite spot!

These are some of my feathered friends at the refuge! (click on the pictures to see the slide show!)

This is the kennel where the awesome Pit Bulls live. They get to live right behind my human mom's house where they get all the attention, all the others here tell me I will be jealous when I grow up! Everyone gets to run around all day in the creeks and pastures.  But in the evenings, once everyone is settled in, we all come back here and stay together by mom's house!
