My Pit Pal is Z Anderson! : ) I am a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and I am around three years old. I am great with just about anything that walks, talks, quacks or moos! I am all about love and pleasing you and love and love. I am a smallish girl, about 35# but have a heart of Gold! Did I mention I am all about love?

Two year old male. Good with female dogs, NO male dogs or cats. OK, now that they said THAT! I am a GREAT boy, who ever said that dogs are supposed to like cats is beyond me! Although, I do mind my manners and do not go out of my way to cause any drama with the kittles. : ) I am very obedient, low key and love to learn new things. I am a complete cuddle bug and the whole male dog, kittle thing is no big deal, I just don't want them in my "space". However, those girl dogs, ooh lala! And the more human attention I get, the happier I am. They keep telling me how beautiful I am and so smart!

FROM UNDERDOG TO WONDER DOG!
Mercie got a very rough start in life having puppies at 8 months old, having a severe case of mange, being very underweight and having owners that left her at the end of a chain, ( We think ) the same owners that tossed her out in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of November with NO hair, with a T-Shirt on that said, "GOOD LUCK" on it.
She has made tremendous progress, from a dog that was fearful and insecure, to a happy, healthy, loving companion. She loves her car rides now and to go for walks. She's great with kids, dogs and cats. I would not recommend her to be with children under 6 because sometimes their rambuncious behavior makes her uneasy. She has been in a foster home with many dogs, cats and 2 children, ages 12 and 5. She has been well behaved and hasn't shown any signs of aggression past first introductions with any of them. She needs an experienced owner who will expose her to many things and who understands that all of this is new to her. She is a wonderful dog and loves to cuddle on the couch or bed with you. She is pretty much housebroken and is crate trained. She loves her kennel and prefers to be in it at night and when you are away so she doesn't get into any mischief. No digging, chewing or excessive barking. She is small but stocky about 53 pounds. Her tail wags her whole body a majority of the time. She just the happiest dog ever.

Meet Sophia, she is about 8 months old and Kayla, she is an older, laid back lady. Both are great dogs and in dire need of either rescue or a forever home! Time is of the essence.

My Pit Pal is B McClatchey : ) Three year old, male, American Bulldog. Great with female dogs and most animals. NO cats! Yea, yea, like "Red", now that I get slammed for the cat thing. So really, how many folks have cats that want dogs like us? (except for the people here at the refuge, they have those darn things everywhere, "hunting mice", they say, hmphh) Well, the thing is, so what, we don't like cats, if you have cats, we are not the dogs for you, but.....if you DON'T have cats, well, we are, me especially, the perfect dog for you. You can take me anywhere, do anything, I am very well behaved, I don't misbehave around cats, just keep them out of my "space". I love to walk, jog, run and swim. I love people of all ages, shapes and sizes. And, I am very cool and dignified and also a pretty smart fellow. I have lived with other dogs in the past and also in a home. I miss living with a family to call my own.
Meet Julian!
Julian may be a mix of
Boxer, American Bulldog, and Pit Bull Terrier. He is solid white with a
brindle patch at the base of his tail and speckled ears. He was born in
September 2006 (4 years old). He weighs 48lbs full grown.
Julian was seized by animal control as a small puppy and then again recently from two separate owners and both on the suspicion of animal cruelty. Somehow, Julian's friendly disposition has not wavered despite it all.
Julian still a total puppy -- happy, waggy, and kissy. He's a bit clumsy and sometimes forgets his manners when excited but with a little training will become more graceful and obedient. He has learned the "sit" command and can catch food/toys in his mouth. He's a fairly active boy who enjoys walks/jogs/runs and is always up for any fun activity or game. Julian is such a lover boy and thrives on the companionship of his family so he must be a mostly indoor dog. Julian is crate trained but may need housebreaking reminders when adjusting to his new home and family. He's best suited for an active family that lives in home with a fenced yard. He is eager to please and would benefit from obedience training. Although people are his first love, Julian has successfully coexisted with other dogs and cats while always crated separately whenever the people are away from the home. He is also very gentle with children.

My Pit Pals are S. Sheperd, C. Perini and Z. Anderson : ) 18 mo. Male, Pit Bull/Am Bull Mix. No cats, no small dogs, no male dogs. I am a big boy with a big personality! I am a very, let's say, very outgoing boy, ALL boy. Don't get me wrong, can cuddle and want hugs and kisses like everyone else, but I will excell at anything you ask of me. I am here to learn everything I can about this wonderful life. The humans here keep saying that I require a family that is a working dog family, I don't know what that means, but it sounds fun to me! I don't know who this "Bug" the other boys keep talking about, but he can't be all "I" am.

Move over Karisma Kota. You are just too much, what do you think, when you get a new girlfriend, Choc doesn't get a new boyfriend?? Betcha didn't think that far? Well, her and I have been talking and I am just as much the guy that you are! And, I have traveled a lot farther and more places. I am an all around guy, I LOVE people, people, people, the more the better! I am a gentle sort, a little more distinguished and do not do well around other male dogs AT ALL, but don't let that stop you from welcoming me to your family. I am very controllable and just want to be loved. At least just inquire about my background, you would be surprised with my potential. Oh, yea, Kota, quit being such a pretty boy!

Three year old female, good with males dogs and most animals. Hello, my name is Junie, because, well, I was found in June! They call me June Bug at the refuge, too close to that cute little "Bug" on the puppy page, but I guess I will share. : ) We would actually make a cute couple...but I digress. I am a very outgoing, smart girl on the small side. What Glorianna said above about the "ear" thing, well, I don't have it but I am just as smart as them and I have class and charm. Sounding "Hallmark?", not really, it is the truth, I am a great girl that is looking for a great family.

My Pit Pal is J Tanner : ) Three year old female. Good with some males, NO cats. I am a three time graduate of PIP, ask the humans what it means, but it made me a very well trained, mannered, sweet heart of a girl. You only have to ask me one time to do something and I am "there". I had very loving people that took care of me, protected me and trained me to be the girl I am today. They are people that needed to feel loved and have someone give them confidence like they gave me. I know I helped them as much as they helped me. We have all moved on and they have prepared me to find a family of my own now. With all that said, I am the "schooled" dog around here, so that makes me the smartest (sticking tongue out at Maxine! : P ) I do need a family that is devoted to helping me keep my confidence and would rather like just hanging around the house with all my stuffed toys and my family. Although I love my walks and play time too! I am a homebody at heart. You should see my cute little face when I am cuddling with you while watching a movie, are you going visual?? : )

My Pit Pal is L. Peirsall : ) Two year old male, does good with female dogs and most animals. I am still here!! What is the problem? I am cute, I get along with other animals, for the most part, the ones I don't get along with, I don't make a fool out of myself. I am very well behaved, manners, I can set the table, make the bed, clean the bathroom....well, just kidding, the whole paw thing won't let me do those things, BUT!, I would if I could! I just want a home and I am willing to do anything for the right home that deserves me. I guess you could get some extensions on my paws and I can do the home chores listed above. : ) But only for cookies and LOVE from you!

You are thinking cute, right? Well, I am more than cute. None of these girls have anything on me, not at all. And, I am the sweetest thing on four paws. Everyone here needs a home but I am going to steal the spotlight for a bit. I am a mix, but mostly a mix of the greatest breed of dog on the Planet and I have the heart and love to prove it! I am young, probably around a year, my original foster family rescued me off the highway and I was just a mess. But they saw through all of that and took me in, fixed me up and taught me how to live in a house! Now I am living on a Ranch and loving it but I am ready to find a home to call my own, with a family of my own, NOW. : ) Sorry, being a little pushy (giggle), but how can you resist me?

One year old female, great with males, NO cats. Wouldn't you love for me to look at you every day with this much devotion? Everyone here loves me but I want a family of my own! I am a lot like Max, I can do the dishes, clean, make the bed, just tell me what makes you happy and I will do what my little dog paws will allow. Hey, come to think of it, Max and I make a great pair! Yard work, house work, I think we would both lack in the cooking department, but we do have to leave something for you to do! I LOVE to cudle in blankets and LOVE my toys! I am that special girl that you deserve.

This silly photographer couldn't capture my cuteness and they still keep making me look like a beagle mix or somthing. I am here to tell you, that I am NOT a beagle mix. I have nothing against the little buggers, but it just isn't! (stomping my paws now!) I do have a little mix of something, not much, but who doesn't these days. I am still very cute and I am all bulldog at heart. You want a floppy eared pup to make your dreams come true, going to the beach, lake, river or just hanging out. But, I have a BALL that I love to play with then my energy goes through the roof. : ) I do have allergies but I wear an inexpensive collar that keeps them at bay. I am a little girl but I have a HUGE heart! I probably should not live with small animals but I can refrain from acting "out" around them. My best friend is P.C., we kinda think a like, if you know what I mean. I would love to do something like agility, dock dogs, tracking, hiking, if you are active, so am I. And when the day is done, a couch or bed wouldn't be bad either...oh and cuddling, THAT is a must!!
