Two year old female, good with male dogs. So what do you think about me? Pretty cute, huh? Well, you haven't seen nuthin yet! I am beyond cute, I am also very smart........very. Just look at me, you can see at one glance how smart I am. I am looking for an active family, but not overly active, I love the "couch thing" too! I am looking to do fun things with my new family. Agility looks to be right up my alley! Maxine just thinks she is the smartest one here, yea, whatever! Although we do talk a lot about dreams of our new families.

My Pit Pal is W Jenkins! : ) Three year old female. Good with male dogs and most animals. Needing a quiet, laid back home enviroment. These humans always get to write the first sentence, not fair. I am the more quiet type, laid back girl, it takes me a little bit to warm up to new humans but not too long. I just want to be hugged and loved and feel secure. I am very elegant and very confident when I am with the humans I love. I like to take walks and play in the yard, but only with you. So, yea, I am sounding all introverted, but that isn't the problem, I am just a "cool" girl, I don't need to prove anything but my love for you, that I will do with all my heart.

My Pit Pals are Z. Anderson and I. Lovelace : ) Five year old female, she has lived with other dogs and cats, but was always crated separately when nobody was home. No cat issues with me! Ha, Ha!! Matter of fact, I kinda love everyone, well, I think the chickens would be worth chasing, I wouldn't know what do with them when I caught them, but... I am another "lineage" dog, in my world, doesn't mean much, but I am happy for now. I lived in a home and had a great time with Chihuahuas and other pit bulls, I was always the best girl, I STILL am. And look at me, could you ask for a more stunnig "chick"? I was rescued by a org in Texas, along with my puppies. One of my puppies is a working dog, I am so proud of her and the the other lives with me here at the refuge while his owner finds a new home. They are both great, but what would you expect from a MOM like me? NOW I want a family and a great home that deserves ME!

My Pit Pal is W Jenkins! : ) Five year old male, BIG boy, 100+ pounds but a gentle giant, very loving and obedient. Does well with females. He absolutely loves the farm life and would like nothing better than to hang out with you on the porch in the evenings or taking long walks. Loves to cuddle, he cannot get close enough to you. This boy will make a wonderful new family member.

Seven to Eight year old female. This little girl is to die for. I know my name does not fit me now, however, when I came to the refuge I didn't have a lot of hair, just a puff here and there, kinda like one of those poodle dogs, so they named me Puff! I didn't find it too humorous but went along with their little affectionate name for me. I have grown to love my name and now I have HAIR!! Look at it all! I am very outgoing, love long walks and just about love anything, cats, ducks, chickens, etc. When I came to the refuge, I was very sick and terribly afraid of people, I love everyone now and I am looking for a new family that deserves my new outlook on life.

I think this whole Staffordshire Bull Terrier thing around here is becoming an epidemic! Well, along with the Chihuahuas, what is up with that? I am a three year old female, very loving and obedient, NO KITTIES, please, they are just too much for me to handle! But other dogs and animals are way cool with me. I am pretty stunning and outshine Minnie and Cibby, so you don't have to look any further than me! (I really am not that stuck up, but the competition is tough!)

See my tail, watch the tail, : ) That is "it", I am always happy, I think I even wag my tail in my sleep although I am never awake when I am sleeping to know, but I am sure it is wagging! They "tried" to take a serious picture of me, fooled them, although I am a down to earth girl, I LOVE my dog walks and will go anywhere with you doing what I do best, being happy and wagging my tail. I just want to be with a family that is as happy as I am and I will be devoted you to for life. Do you thnk you deserve a great girl like me?

My Pit Pal is L James : ) Four year old female, good with males dogs, NO cats. I live with Roster and have my whole life. I think he is my protector so I don't have much confidence because I have never been without him. But once I am away from him I warm up to people that just want to cuddle me and show me that I am the great girl that I am! You can't see my spots because I didn't want my picture taken, but I have brown and black spots and I am quite the good looking girl I want a little more laid back home, not a lot of changes, but I am very loving.....snuggling and a consistent schedule is what I need.

Marita is a senior PB Chihuahua, turned in as a "stray" with her own carrier. (uhmmm....)
Due to her age, she probably would not have been adopted. She is a true house dog, trained and very, very friendly. All of us here at Rescue Ranch are very happy she chose us to live with.

Sixteen month old male. Good with female dogs. Cur dog. I am a very active boy, high drive, LOVE water and NOT a couch potato. I am very intelligent and that is why I am here at the refuge. I am an awesome dog but I need a job and I will do that job to the n'th degree. It is not to say that I won't like hanging on the couch too! If you are smart enough for me than I am the boy for you!

Three and half month old, male and female, Pit Bull/Lab mix puppies. House, crate and leashed trained. Very outgoing and friendly. They have been socialized with other dogs and animals here at the ranch. They are off to a great start at a well rounded and soicalized life.

18 mo male. Does well with dogs and other animals, probably not so much with cats. House and crate trained and a very obedient boy! Loves the water, car rides and long walks. Would do well with and actually would crave the company of a female doggy companion.

My Pit Pal is W Jenkins : ) 11 mo female, good with other dogs and most animals. I lost my eye due to abuse, someone hit me with something really hard, but, that didn't stop me from wanting to love someone. I am what they call "high drive" and believe it or not, I can focus really well with one eye, probably better than you can with two or four eyes!! I really need a working home although I do like to cuddle and sleep with my people, I am just active, so if you are laid back, not the girl for you, BUT, if you want to play in agility, tracking, dock dogs...wait, I am sounding like Manny Man, well, read his BIO and I am twice the dog he IS, except I am a girl, which in "some circles", makes me better. : )

I am a four year old female. I love other dogs and animals of any size. I am great with chldren and just want to be with a family. I was rescued by a family in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike, I was scared and lonely but they took care of me, took me to the doctor and made me feel so much better. I miss them but they could not keep me because of some changes they couldn't control. I live at Spindletop now with Bayne (he is pretty cute and needs a home too!) and I am happy but want to have a home of my own. I am a really good girl and just want to make my new family happy.

My Pit Pal is L and A Sementino! : ) Fourteen to Eighteen month old male. Great with female dogs. Everyone here keeps telling me how smart I am and a "free thinker", whatever that means, but they think I am pretty special! I love to track all the scents around the ranch and they think I would make a good tracking dog, or not. I pretty much like hanging out on the couch too! I am very outgoing and would love to do whatever you would ask of me. I am a great boy and pretty good looking too, if I should say to myself. : )

Six month male, that is just cute, cute, cute! House and crate trained and doing well with obedience. Loves to be carried around and cuddled, but the carrying around will have to end soon! : )

Three month female, house and crate trained with some basic obedience. A very smart puppy, picks up on commands within two training sessions. With her short and unloving history, it is so amazing that she greets everyone with lots of wags and kisses.

Ruby is current on vaccinations and heartworm preventive. She was rescued from a breeding kennel and, although she's approximately 3 years old, does not appear to have ever had a litter, and our vet believes she's spayed. She is terrified of everything but never responds aggressively.

Dream has been spayed and is current on vaccinations and heartworm preventive. Although she'll initially strike you as a wallflower, she is really a frisky girl. She loves to play with other dogs and cats, and will even take dips in the kiddie pools!

I am 3-4 months, male and had a pretty rough start until a really nice family found me on the highway when I was just a little baby (six weeks old). They took me home and made me feel loved and beautiful even though my ears are not that pretty everyone keeps telling me that it gives me character! I am very smart too, I am completely house, crate and leash trained and sleep soundly all night long.

I am a very outgoing and entergetic four year old girl. I am good with other dogs but no kitties. I have been a house dog but my owner had to move and couldn't take me. I love to swim and would make a great jogging partner. And I LOVE toys but people are my favorite!

Maple, 18 mo female chihuahua needing a home. Does well with other small dogs and cats once she gets to know them. NO big dogs. She is very friendly and lovable once she gets to know you but until then she is a bit fearful, but does not take long to warm up, she just needs someone that understands her, she is really quite adorable. She is currently residing at Spindletop. No children. Vaccinated, spayed and heartworm negative. She is both house and crate trained and is very well behaved.

Six year old female. Does well with submissive male dogs, NO cats.. I am a very refined girl, I love the attention as do all girls! I am one of those intelligent girls too! I am always looking to learn something new and seeing all the new sights here at the refuge, wow, I did not know that all these other noisy things ran around the earth. But I have learned to control myself and they rather bore me now : ) I love to be cuddled and love blankets.. I can either be a MAJOR couch pooch or long dog walks, jogging, etc. It is up to you. I will be a great addition to any family that deserves me. Don't you just want to grab my big face and give me a kiss!!
